KALEDIOSCOPIC CINEMA

Optical Kaleidoscope is a unique and wonderful way to present film material.
Using mirrors and back-projection, photographic images are projected onto numerous small screens which make up a 70 metre diameter Optical Globe. By adapting the principle of a child’s kaleidoscope the late Czech visual effects genius Dr Raduz Èinèera produced a special film for Karlstejn’s Optical Globe to show the treasures of Czech history. Here visitors see, among other outstanding treasures, the Bohemian Crown Jewels, the rare monstrance from Loreta and the exquisite work of Master Theodoric in the Holy Rood Chapel inside Karlstejn’s castle. The Wax Museum at Melantrichova Street, Prague also have Optical Globe Kaleidoscopic Cinema.
